A POST-it Note

On Monday, June 22, Etsy Item of the Day did a thoughtful feature on the Pay it Forward (PIF) Section of Foxy G. Knits.  PIF items are those offered by etsy sellers for just the listing fee or for a fraction of their actual worth.  The idea is that those who purchase these items will do something nice for someone else or list a PIF item in their own shop if they are on etsy.

I am honored that Etsy Item of the Day chose to highlight Foxy G. Knits.  We were heartened by the positive response  to the concept of paying it forward.  And there were those readers that did not know about PIF or for what the initials stood  until reading the article.   Hopefully, it will encourage etsy sellers to consider listing PIF items in their shops.

  3. Hi Lois,
I’m so glad your PIF has been highlighted to inform those who are not familiar with it. I started to carry PIF everyday since Mother’s Day when I heard a heart wrenching story of a Mom on a forum who couldn’t afford to have a Mother’s Day because her husband lost her job. I sold a quite a few PIF for mother’s day. (and I check to make sure those sellers are doing the same thing. he he)

PIF concept was new to me when I started Etsy and I think it’s a great way to give back to the community. Keep up the great work!
