And all the taxes have been paid, so the money is free and clear.  There’s just one catch – you can’t keep a penny of it – you must give it all away to others.  So, how would you spend it?  Would you start a nonprofit? Set up a college scholarship? Fund an art or music program in schools?  Create a foundation?  Barbara Bush was really on point when she said, “Giving frees us from the familiar territory of our own needs by opening our mind to the unexplained worlds occupied by the needs of others.”

So, please leave your comments below by Sunday, March 28th at noon EDT. The winner, selected by Foxy G. and her Board of Directors, will receive his or her own spectacular interview feature in the Den of i-KNIT-quity.

  1. This is actually something I’ve been thinking about. Or more along the lines of “if we win the lottery what will we do with the money” since a life of a millionaire doesn’t hold much appeal to me.

I’ve had a dream since I was a teenager; I’d love to have a home for kids and teens who don’t have another place to go to. It would be like a drop-in shelter with permanent spots available. There would be a classroom with a really great teacher to help out those who want to learn; job training opportunities; councelling, etc… The whole idea would be that these kids would be fed and taken care of but they’d have to earn it, either by going to school or by doing chores, etc. to teach them responsibility. I think I’d spend my million on this!
